About OAC
What we do and why it is important
Outdoor Against Cancer (OAC) is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to the fight against cancer and other non-communicable disease (NCDs) on a global scale. 40% of all cancers could be prevented by a healthier lifestyle. Regular exercise and outdoor sports, a balanced diet, intact nature and sustainability, and mental and physical well-being are the four key pillars of OAC's mission. To spread this message, OAC is active in numerous countries. Key activities are the qualification of certified trainers, the OAC Health App, as well as numerous projects with partners in the EU and internationally.

October 2019 Diagnosis of breast cancer, at that moment my life, and my feelings resembled a rollercoaster. At an event at the University Hospital in Großhadern/Munich I met Petra Thaller and OAC. That was a stroke of luck, because shortly after that came COVID19 and with it the lockdown. There were no possibilities to do sports or to meet with friends. Thanks to the varied, motivating OAC online training OACatHome and the informative OACatHome column Info, Talk & Facts by Petra and her team I became more agile again, my mood improved and was able to clarify some open questions about breast cancer.
Since May 2020 I am sitting on the horse again with so much fun! This is my Outdoor against Cancer.
OAC, that is Petra Thaller and her team, who give us power, strength, energy and above all courage to face life again.
Thank you all very much, please keep it up!
